See where we are on the Austin/Floyd Rose strat conversion. - Apr 8th 2018 12:40 am by Sam
We started doing this guitar to raise awareness of the quality potential you get from an Austin with a little work. We checked the truss rod operation, checked the straightness, leveled the frets but they were really pretty level out of the box, We polished the frets, and finally we put a crystal clear gloss finish on it to make it look as good as it plays.

Austin Floyd. A Floyd Rose tremolo system conversion on an Austin Strat that had a 6 point bridge. Austin guitars have quality in the background, if you know how to bring it out you could be playing a $120 Austin that plays better that an $800 Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster. Everything was measured out and lined up. The next step is finishing the neck.
A locking nut was added to the stock neck, the neck was leveled, shaved into our signature shape to reduce cramping and to promote fret access. the neck is currently getting a thick clear coat applied and then it will be ready for assembly after a tedious wet sand and polish.
